The seed
Ch. 170 — Robin deploys Tres Fleurs and Seis Fleurs Clutch against Pell at Rain Dinners. The Spanish-numeral Fleurs (flowers) naming-grammar is first on-page installed here.
Why this matters
Canonizes the Robin attack-grammar template that runs through every later Robin technique:
- Tres Fleurs (3 hands) → forward-canon Cuatro/Cinco/Seis/Ocho/Veinte/Cien/Mil Fleurs
- Seis Fleurs Clutch — pre-loads the submission-hold spine-break kill-mode combat-grammar
- Spanish numbers + French fleur — the only Strawhat with a romance-language attack-grammar at this point in the series
Pre-loads forward-canon scale escalation: by the New World, Robin will deploy Mil Fleurs Gigantesco Mano (1000 flowers, giant hand) — same grammar, four orders of magnitude more output.
The language choice is identity-load-bearing — Robin’s Ohara archaeological background canonically includes ancient-language scholarship; the Spanish grammar marks her as the crew’s linguist-class even before her Strawhat-affiliation begins.
