Luffy’s awakened Gear-5 giant Haki fist is named “Gum-Gum… Bajrang Gun” (pp. 6–7) — a colossal Conqueror’s-Haki-coated fist hurled without touching the target. Bajrang derives from Bajrangbali, an epithet of Hanuman, the divine monkey of boundless strength in Hindu myth. Attached to the awakened Nika (“Sun God”) form (the Hito Hito no Mi, Model Nika) and Luffy’s own monkey-coded name (“Monkey D. Luffy”), it is the latest entry in Oda’s divine-monkey naming layer.

Etymology pass (resolved). The attack is a classic Oda kanji-vs-furigana pun: the written kanji 猿神銃 = “Monkey-God Gun” (猿 saru “monkey” + 神 shin “god” + 銃 jū “gun”) is read バジュラングガン “Bajrang Gun.” So the divine-monkey reading is not a mere phonetic echo — the kanji literally spell “Monkey God,” escalating Luffy’s Gear-4 猿王銃 saruō-jū “Monkey-King Gun” (Kong Gun) from ape-king to ape-god, fitting the awakened Sun-God Nika. Bajrang ← Sanskrit Vajrāṅga (vajra “diamond/thunderbolt” + aṅga “body” = “indestructible, diamond-hard body”), the epithet Bajrangbali of Hanuman.
