Paramecia · current: Baron Tamago
Profile
A reincarnation Paramecia. Its user, Baron Tamago of the Big Mom Pirates, is built around an egg motif: each time his body is broken — he “cracks” — he is reborn into a stronger, more evolved form rather than killed. The egg-lifecycle ladder named on-page is Baron Egg → Viscount Hiyoko (Viscount Chick) → Count Niwatori (Count Chicken).
- First named / explained Ch. 853 (p. 7): during his pursuit of Brook through the Whole Cake Chateau’s third-floor courtyard, Tamago’s power is named the Egg-Egg Fruit and its reincarnation rule is shown — he evolves mid-chase from Baron Egg to Viscount Hiyoko to Count Niwatori. (His egg head was already shown to “crack and transform when struck” Ch. 849, power-shown-but-unnamed; the fruit name lands here.)

Power limits & weaknesses
- Standard Devil-Fruit sea/seastone immobilization (universal).
- The reincarnation is a durability/comeback mechanic — breaking him merely advances his form. See Egg-Egg Fruit Reincarnates Tamago Into Stronger Forms.
Lore & theories
- Etymology (resolved): “Tama” = egg (卵 tamago); the ascending Viscount/Count titles spell out the egg-lifecycle pun — Hiyoko (雛 = chick) → Niwatori (鶏 = chicken/rooster) — keying into the Big Mom crew’s fairy-tale/food motif. The crack-and-reassemble gag inverts Humpty Dumpty (he can be put back together) and nods to the Jubjub bird of Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking-Glass. See
