Profile
A deceased Shandian seer / medium of the Noland-flashback era who “could converse with the gods.” Referenced as recently dead: an elder asks “What has that man done?! …that was Pantori’s dying message…!” (p. 2) and the chief states “Old Pantori is dead now, and I don’t have the power to hear the voices of the gods” (p. 13). Pantori’s death is why the chief can no longer interpret the snake-god Kashigami’s will — a structural reason the Shandians cannot easily judge Mont Blanc Noland’s “curse.”

JP 神官（パントリ）— kanji 神官 (“priest/shrine official”) given the reading パントリ (“Pantori”); Fandom lists Literal Meaning = “Priest.” The name literally writes his role (priest) under a foreign-sounding reading; パントリ is a near-homophone of English “pantry” (unsourced).
