Not named on-page in Ch. 41 — referenced only as “Mom” in the flashback (pages 14-17). Per series knowledge her canonical name is Banchina (バンキーナ), but the vault carries this character at first appearance status until later naming. Wife of Yasopp, mother of Usopp. Black hair, slender, ill — appears in flashback only.

Died of illness in Syrup Village sometime in Usopp’s early childhood, after Yasopp had left for the sea with the Red Hair Pirates. The Ch 41 flashback (pages 14-17) is her only on-page appearance; she is the originating wound of Usopp’s character grammar — her dying defense of Yasopp (“I’m glad I married your father.” / “I want you to grow up to be brave and strong, just like him.” page 16) is the moral seed of Usopp’s lifelong pirate-aspiration, and her death is the trauma seed of the “PIRATES ARE COMING!” shout.

• First on-page appearance in Kaya’s narrated flashback to Merry (pages 14-17). Bedridden, in nightclothes, in a Syrup Village bedroom. Visibly dying.
• Mother of Usopp, wife of Yasopp.
• Defends Yasopp on her deathbed: “I want you to grow up to be brave and strong, just like him.” / “But, Usopp, I’m glad I married your father.” (page 16). The mother’s love for Yasopp persists past his absence and her own death — installs the Yasopp-as-loving-but-absent character grammar that Usopp will inherit.
• Receives Usopp’s “PIRATES ARE COMING!!!” hope-call (page 15) — the origin scene for the village’s lifelong prank. Usopp’s shout was invented as a hope-call to her, repeated past her death.
• Receives Usopp’s “wonder medicine across the ocean” fairytale (page 16) — the prefigure of the Drum Island arc’s narrative engine.
