SBS Volume 46

Special volume: NO Q&A. The entire SBS slot is replaced by an 18-page Thousand Sunny interior blueprint / ship-tour — Oda’s “thorough answer” to the years-running reader question “What does the Sunny look like on the inside?!”

Author’s note (in lieu of Q&A)

Oda: Hello! This time for the author’s corner, I answered a question that has been asked many times — “What does the Sunny look like on the inside?!”

Here is my thorough answer!! In a total of 18 pages!! Enjoy!

(See main-narrative pages within Vol 46 for the 18-page diagram series. Per cross-reference: Thousand Sunny — Ship Design and Appearance.)

Significance

This volume’s SBS slot is the post-Merry-funeral architectural canonization of the Thousand Sunny — the equivalent of the Vol 11 Going Merry cutaway diagram (Going Merry Cutaway-Diagram SBS Q&A), but 18× larger. Oda commits to the Sunny’s interior layout the same way he committed to the Merry’s — pre-loading every later Sunny-interior composition (kitchen scenes, library, aquarium, Soldier Dock System, factory) across the rest of the saga.

This is the second instance of the SBS-replacement architectural-canonization paratext technique (first: Vol 11 Going Merry cutaway). Scale tells you what mattered: 1 page for the Merry, 18 pages for the Sunny.
