- Franky is 34 years old (canonized by reader-math: adopted age 10, started Sea Train age 12, finished Puffing Tom age 22, accident at age 30, present day = 34).
- “BF-36” = Battle Franky 36: Franky built 35 prior Battle Franky warships; after they were used to hurt someone he loved, he used the same technological skill to fix his own body and carved BF-36 into himself to mark the end of his shipbuilding career. He then became a dismantler.
- Kumadori’s mother is alive — name: Kumadori Yamanbako, profession: assassin (yamanba = mountain hag; also a ganguro subculture reference).
- Zoro’s attack names ARE puns on sushi (Nigiri/Toro/Otoro/Hirameki/Samon = nigiri sushi/tuna/fatty tuna/flounder/salmon). Oda has Zoro deny it but Zoro freaks out → confirmed.

Q (Soge Q): In Vol 42 Ch. 405 “Power” when Franky uses his seek-and-destroy cannon it says “BF36” on his shoulders. That stands for Battle Franky 36, right?
A: Yes…!! That’s right. As you will know from reading Franky’s flashback, Franky created his own line of 35 battleships called Battle Franky. After his ships were used to hurt someone he loved, and he used that same sense of technological wizardry to fix his own body, he carved the symbol BF-36 into himself and put an end to his career of shipbuilding. After that, he became a dismantler.
Q (Yasuhiko): What was Kumadori’s mom like? A: Actually, she’s still alive. Profession: assassin. Name: Kumadori Yamanbako. (Note: “Yamanba” means mountain hag, also refers to a subgenre of the “ganguro” girl subculture.)

- Hirameki → Hirame (flounder)
- Samon → Salmon Zoro-san must really love sushi… or never had it?!
