First on-page crew-internal financial-extortion in the series. The Editor’s footnote is Oda’s paratextual wink — confirming the debt is fabricated. The doctrine is the crew-internal sister-grammar of Nami Coercive-Restitution Doctrine (the Ch. 0094 external-village register at Cocoyasi).

The doctrine is now bi-modal: Nami extorts both enemies (Buggy, Arlong-period villagers) and crewmates (Zoro). Forward-pattern: Nami’s crewmate-debt-coercion recurs as a recurring gag-grammar across Skypiea (cloud-gold-priority), Water 7 (mansion-deals), Whole-Cake-Island (treasure-pricing during the Sanji-rescue).
