Why this matters
Prop-tell-baseball-bat: the bat carried over his shoulder is forward-tease for the multi-ton bat-weapon. The baseball-uniform-and-bat character-school is the most-overt of Mr. 4’s identity-coding.
Character-coding-silent-debut: Mr. 4 does NOT speak in his in-story debut chapter — only Merry Christmas speaks (even attributing her own complaints to him: “It’s all your fault, Mr. 4!” / “You idiot!!!”). The speech-asymmetry is a character-coding tell, not a translation gap. Forward-canon: Mr. 4 is slow-on-the-uptake. The silent debut is the first install of this register.
