Why this matters
The chapter renders Robin’s eventual Hana Hana no Mi as invisible-action, not as visible-arms. The no-extra-arms-visibly-bloomed register is the deliberate withholding of the fruit’s most-recognizable visual signature — the fruit is demonstrated before it’s named, and the visual confirmation (duplicate-arms-sprouting) is forward-canon. The pattern is Oda’s preferred debut grammar for Devil Fruits attached to characters whose name is forward-canon: demonstrate the effect, defer the cause-visual and the name.
Forward-payoff: when Nico Robin and Hana Hana no Mi are named on-page (Ch. 218+), this Ch. 114 debut retroactively confirms — the on-page-invisible-action grammar is always-already the Hana Hana fruit, demonstrated without exposition. The Hee hee hee… signature laugh first appears here (p. 12), pre-installing Robin’s voice-register.
