The seed
The payoff
Predicted: the post-victory faint becomes a recurring tonal beat at every later major fight:
- Crocodile (Alabasta arc finale).
- Lucci (Enies Lobby tower).
- Magellan recovery (Impel Down).
- Marineford post-fight collapse.
- Doflamingo / Kaido / each later arc’s finale.
The faint is the price Luffy pays for the Gomu Gomu rubber-immunity — the fruit deflects blunt force but cannot extend stamina or restore blood. Every later Luffy arc-finale will include this beat.
Earliest known caller
Universal / common-knowledge pattern.
Why this matters
Establishes a DF power-limit that constrains every later Luffy fight: the rubber-immunity is not invincibility. The post-victory faint is also a narrative permission slip — it lets Oda end every arc with a recovery beat where the captain is vulnerable and his crew (Nami, Chopper, etc.) get caretaking screen-time. Future-Claude should expect a post-victory faint at every major Luffy fight and flag any arc-finale that omits the beat as structurally unusual.
