- The Drum arc-climax cherry-blossom-snow over the Drum Rockies literally re-stages this parable on the kingdom-scale. Hiriluk dies fulfilled in the belief that his miracle is impossible; Kureha and the Straw Hats engineer the miracle anyway. The arc’s emotional climax is the parable becoming literally true on Hiriluk’s home soil.
- The faraway land in the west is a Wano-tell. Drum is in the Grand Line; the west points outside its frame to a cherry-blossom country. Forward-canon: Wano is the cherry-blossom country. Hiriluk’s traveled biography likely includes Wano.
Why this matters
The parable is a fairy-tale-overlay foreshadowing technique — Oda installs a children’s-story-version of the arc-climax as in-story dialogue, then enacts it at full operatic scale at the arc’s end.
