The rule
When a Straw Hat fights an individual duel-of-honor, no third party intervenes, even at the cost of the duelist’s life. The rule is the captain’s enforcement — Luffy is the rule’s authoritative-voice. The rule applies even to Luffy himself — the captain stands aside (often visibly suffering) when a crewmate fights a personal duel.
